Celebrates 100th Anniversary
How
elated we are to mark this historic moment! At this landmark in time, we
are profoundly aware of God¡¯s call to remember the
dreams and hopes of our founding mothers and fathers: To build and shape
community;
to act as a healing and reconciling agent to the
world around us;
to be an exceptionally loving community, fully
embracing the aspirations
for justice, equality, and diversity fermented in
the hearts of
men and women; and lastly, to promote the Christian
education of
young people, providing a haven of peace, safety, and
nurture from
early childhood through adolescence.
Will
you join in our Centennial celebration? Indeed, it will be an event
that will solidify and unite us, as we reflect on
God¡¯s activity throughout
the past ten decades. Moreover, this very special
occasion will usher us into
a new missional zeal for
the bright, yet uncertain future. We dare to dream
the dream of our planting and founding foreparents – a dream of presence
in the local community, ministry to emerging
families, and outreach to the cities¡¯ bustling youth.
