Mexico Mission Trip: 6/26-7/12

Grace (age 16)

My name is Grace Park attending Berkeley high. This upcoming summer, I am joining a group of around 30 kids and youth leaders from San Francisco Full Gospel church on a non-profit mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico. This will be my 2nd time going, and I can¨t be more excited! Our purpose on this trip is to welcome the lost into the kingdom of God through our ministry. We have been training since February to fill our short 2.5 weeks in Mexico with as much activity as we can. From child day cares to street ministering, our team plans on reaching out to the families in Tijuana and Tecate with the same love that god has shown to us. We will be staying at an orphanage called Rancho de Sus Ninos (aka his kids' ranch) where we will also be doing physical work daily, such as cement mixing, foundation building, roof painting, etc.

The bulk of our trip cost will go to the orphanage to compensate our stay, which in turn is used to buy food and necessities for the boys and girls who live there because the Mexican government doesn¨t provide funding for orphanages. I can speak for all of us when I say that I¨m thrilled to have this opportunity to make a difference in these people's lives.

In our efforts I ask you to pray for our ministry; that we will stir the hearts of the faces we will meet with the living word, and for a safe journey. Thank you and God bless!
